Good Morning Bear Peeps even though it was a cloudy rainy day at Brooks yesterday there were still plenty of bears to see. Here are the bears that were seen yesterday: 273 and 3 yearlings, 402, 856, 634 Popeye, 708 Amelia and 2 yearlings, 719 and 2 yearlings, 480 Otis, 94 and 3 2.5 year olds, 435 Holly and 1 Coy, 747, 801, 83 Wayne Brother, 151 Walker, 909, 901, 89 Backpack, 132, 812, "Mane Bear", 807, 32 Chunk, 482 Brett, a few other subadults.

What a spectacular First Week at Brooks Falls, The Bears were marvelous and and gave us so many memorable moments to cherish, these were a few of my favorite moments from Week 1:
The Cams went Live Monday Morning with a breathtaking view of Brooks River , it was a sight for sore eyes.
128 Grazer returned with her 2nd known litter, two adorable spring cubs (dubbed the "NuNuts" by some viewers) which promised to be a thrill ride and has Grazer ever delivered, what an Amazing Mama Bear to watch.
747 returned looking a little beat up but also looking Massive like he had a Salmon freezer in his den that he snacked on in between trips to the weight room.
480 Otis arrived the same day that 747 did looking great, he settled into his office and all was right with the world.
747 and 480 Otis had a bit of a kerfuffle or maybe they were just laughing about how their ears look alike now.
273 brought her 3 yearlings to the Falls and showed them around the far pool, Otis' Office and even showed them how to use Scare D's back door.
Rhett & Scarlett? Luke & Laura? Bonnie & Clyde? - None of them could hold a candle to the smoldering intensity of 856 & 402 during their week long courtship
What could 435 Holly do for an encore after becoming the new Fat Bear Champion last year? - come back to Brooks Falls with a spring cub that's what, Super Mom is on the job again.
273 needed to rest after a long day of watching the yearling cubs and decided to stretch out and relax on a rock at the Falls.
747 decided to take advantage of there being no visitors at Brooks River yet and took an evening stroll down Spit Road showing that he is already looking in full Fat Bear Week form.
128 Grazer made good use out of the Nanny Tree, to keep her 2 spring cubs protected and to keep and eye on the goings on at the Falls to see who might need to be Grazered.
402 led 856 on a walk and swim about all around the Lower river including sailing under the new bridge, will their courtship last another week? I hope it does as it has been fun to watch.
634 Popeye arrived looking as handsome and buff as ever, and he took his wide body up onto the lip to try his paw at Lip fishing again, he was a little rusty at first but is getting the hang of it.
94 arrived with her 2 1/2 year olds , but in a surprise move instead of emancipating them she apparently decided she was not ready to say goodbye to her sweet trio and is holding onto them for another season, which should make for some interesting times when the family visits the Falls.
Week one came to an end Sunday, June 28, 2020 at night with the arrival of Lip Fisher extraordinaire and endlessly entertaining 812, he fished the lip with fellow legendary offspring 909 and then in one of the most poignant moments of the week fished the lip along side his Mother 402 with (Possible) father 856 in the J below. Day one of the Cams ended with a Rainbow over the Lower River , which was a good portent of all the wonderful things we were going to see during the first week and will see in the weeks to come, can't wait to see what wonders the Brooks Falls Bears have in store for us in Week Two. :) SBDs.
