Genetics Study Samples Obtained: Genetics study samples of 790 Weevil Bear must have been obtained between 2005 and 2007 by former KNP&P Wildlife Biologist, Tamara Olson as DNA evidence has confirmed that 790 Weevil Bear and her littermate 854 Divot are the offspring of 216 Marilyn and 24 BB (aka Bald Butt) .

2010 Bears of Brooks River book: This is a medium-small, young adult female with skinny legs. 790 has a long, shaggy light brown coat, a straight facial profile, and small ears in proportion to her head.
