Known Offspring Of: The Bears of Brooks River 2021 eBook identifies 28 as the offspring of 451. That information is noted on page 30 of the Bears of Brooks River 2021 eBook under 27's Bear Book entry. "#27 is male and has two siblings #28 and #29." There is however no way to really confirm the link between subadults to the mother and siblings without DNA results.

28 was initially observed during the 2019 season. We are awaiting additional information about this newly identified subadult from the rangers. Mckate's ID Tips: 28 has a long narrow almost roman muzzle, small ears, somewhat close set eyes, and a semi-prominent hump. His coat changes from light to dark brown over the season. He has a blonde cinch mark and a blonde bear hat that become more obvious as he darkens. As the season progresses he develops a beard and long fluffy hair around his face. He can be mistaken for 912 earlier in the season. Mckate's 28 YouTube playlist.

Mckate's Notes: 28 doesn't seem to make many appearances or it could just be that I just don't recognize him until late summer. The bear monitor caught 28 in both July of 2020 and 2021, so we should be on the lookout for him. Watch for dark bears that play with 27 and 29 particularly from a supine position.

"I've noticed that 27 has kind of taken 94's boy under his wing the last few days. 94's boy hasn't completely left his family, but has been spending more time with other male subs. 2023.07.16: Four boars vie for a fish accompanied by a spectating sow video captured by mckate. That was 28 "E" with the catch. 913 "Moomba" grabbed half of it, and 151 Walker came for it sending 913 over the lip. 32 Chunk got the half away from 913 in the jacuzzi. 151 ran down to see if he could grab it, but didn't want to mess with 32. At least 28E got to keep half of his catch. 17 (aka "505F") watched it all from the sidelines.:
