Known Offspring Of: 208 is the suspected offspring of 719 and sibling to 207. There is no way to really confirm the link between subadults to the mother and siblings without DNA results.

Identification:[]
208 is a small male subadult. 208 has a brown coat and is darker than his sibling 207.
Mckate's ID Tips: Early in the season 208 has a light brown coat with some blonde highlights and dark brown legs. In 2021 he showed up with a large hat. By fall his coat darkens to a medium to dark brown. He has a long straight muzzle and with his long legs resembles a 402 sub in profile.

Distinctive Behaviors:[]
Both 208 and his brother did well on the river during their first independent summer in 2021. 208 could often be heard calling to his sibling 207 when they were in close proximity.
Mckate's Notes: 208 was emancipated in 2021 and spent part of July and late fall with his brother 207. When 207 took off for parts unknown in the middle of the season, 208 opted to stay on at Brooks. In mid-August he met 29 at the falls and must have followed her back to the lower river where they spent several idyllic weeks fishing, playing, and napping together.

2024: 5.5 Year-Old Older Subadult/Young Adult Male[]
208, at 5.5 years old, could be an older subadult or young adult boar during the 2024 season. Age does not determine the classification switch from subadult to adult in brown bears, copulation/mating does. 208 has not been observed mating in prior seasons, so the 2024 season may provide the opportunity for cam viewers/park visitors to observe 208's classification change on the live cams or at the park.
