Mckate's ID Tips: 182 is mostly sold brown with a light patch on his lower left neck. He has a roman nose, small ears, and puffy eyebrows. He has a small circular indent/scar above his left eye that can be seen on close-ups.

Distinctive Behaviors:[]
Mckate's Notes: His most obvious traits are sitting and cradling his fish as he eats, and barely opening his mouth for eating or playing. I don't know if there is some issue with his jaw or if this is just habit. 182 fishes the falls and riffles in the fall, but you are most likely to see him in and around the J. He's an unflappable and charming fellow who enjoys the company of other young boars. He had the distinction of being the only sub who managed to charm 151 in 2020.

Mckate's Notes: We first saw 182 in the fall of 2019 when he showed up at the falls with 97 and played with every young bear in sight. He was quickly dubbed 'Little Sub,' but I called him 'Vincent' after Vincent Price because he loved to bite his playmates and would even bite himself! He received his number in 2020, but we didn't learn of it until 2022.

I don't know who he was playing with (possibly 23?), but 97 seemed to intervene having been on the receiving end of Vincent's bites in the past. 97 later showed him how to play a more jawing game, but 182 jumped on his back at the first opportunity so wasn't getting the message."

Mckate's Notes: 182 also returned to the falls in August 2021, but for some reason drew 128's ire. After getting beat up several times, he decided to move to the lower river where he was occasionally seen fishing and playing with his buddies.

"In the thumbnail that's 27 on the left, 912 in the middle, and 182 on the right. 27 and 182 don't seem as relaxed playing with 912 as they do 903. I actually can't recall 912 having played with either of them before. I love the road meet-ups because you get a better idea of their sizes. 27 is pretty good sized for a four-year-old, but still not as tall as 912 who is five. We don't know 182's age. He showed up in 2019 so could be a four or five-year-old. After seeing him next to 912, I'd lean toward him being five."

While waiting for an official ID number, 182 was referred to as "Vincent or Little Sub" by bear cam viewers. This is not an official nickname.
